WHAT IS HEALTH AND WELLNESS COACHING?

Health coaching is different than other types of coaching in that it is not prescriptive. I am not the expert of YOU, YOU are. I will not give you a plan to follow, but rather, we'll collaboratively explore your values, strengths and priorities to create an intentional wellness plan for you. Each week, you'll set small achievable goals or shifts that will get your closer to your desired feelings. The beauty of health coaching is that you can't fail - only learn. Each week, you'll learn something new about what works (or doesn't work) for you.

I will not diagnose, treat, interpret medical results or prescribe solutions. 

WHY DO I NEED A HEALTH COACH?

We all know what we need to do in order to live healthier lives - eat healthy, exercise, manage stress, get enough sleep, maintain healthy relationships, etc. If it was only as easy as knowing what to do, we'd all be living very different lives. The reality, is that it's hard to put all those recommendations into practice because we all have different values, strengths, priorities, etc. A health coach helps you mindfully and intentionally move from where you are to where you want to be.

DO YOU PROVIDE MEAL OR EXERCISE PLANS?

No, I will not provide a set of expectations for you to follow. Together, we'll create a customized plan based on your strengths, values and wellness vision.

I am not a healthcare provider, therefore, I will make appropriate referrals if you need the expertise of other health professionals. 

HOW DO I KNOW IF COACHING IS FOR ME?

WHY DO I NEED TO SIGN UP FOR A 6-MONTH PACKAGE?

The short answer is: change doesn't happen overnight. Consistency and accountability are key for long-term behavior change and part of the coaching process is a bi-weekly check-in. The check-in is designed to support you in looking back on how your week and bi-weekly goals went, what you learned and how you'd like to tweak it going forward. At the end of 6 months, hopefully the process feels more natural and you've learned some new tools and techniques to "coach yourself." You are more than welcome to sign up for another 6 month package or move  to maintenance mode with 'as needed' sessions. Clients who have completed a 6-month session, will receive a 10% discount on packages going forward.

DO YOU OFFER ANY DISCOUNTS?

I am currently working towards board-certification so my rates are currently discounted and will be increasing. Coaching clients who complete a 6-month package are eligible for a 10% discount on additional 6 month packages.
